1
| Refer
business to your teammates |
| | All
members are expected to refer their clients to the other members on their team.
If in 2 months time, a member received referrals but does not refer anyone to
another member or affiliate, that member will be put on probation for 30 days.
If the member continues to not refer business his/her company will be replaced
by a competitor who participates. Referring a client received through Contracting
Team to an outside company will not be tolerated and may result in member expulsion. |
2. | Agree
to not compete with your teammates |
| | Members
need to stay focused on their specialization. If a client is referred to a member
and that client needs a service that falls outside the members' designated trade,
the member is obligated to refer to the appropriate contractor on the team. Performing
work that directly competes with another member of the team will not be tolerated. |
3. | Carry
appropriate insurance and state licenses |
| Upon
joining the group, all members are required to add Contracting Team as an insured
on their insurance policy. We ask that a copy of the current insurance and license
be provided at the next meeting. |
4. | Excellent
customer service |
| All
members are expected to answer their phones. If a call is missed the member needs
to return the call asap (within 2 hours). If a client has an issue with work done
by the member, the member is expected to return within 48 hours to correct the
problem. |
5. | On
schedule and on-time |
| | Clients
should receive a call from the member 24 hours before the work starts and the
member is expected to arrive on time. If the member frequently changes the schedule,
fails to show up or arrives late, the member may be expelled from the group. |
6. | Quality
of product/service |
| All
members are expected to provide an excellent product or service that exceeds industry
standards. Poor quality work by any one member will reflect negatively on all
of us. |
7. | Attend
meetings |
| | Contracting
Team will be conducting 2 meetings each month. Attendance in at least one of the
two meetings is mandatory. If the member is not able to attend, a representative
is expected to attend. |
8. | Industry
standard pricing (or better) |
| Our
team regularly bids on renovation projects that involve 3 or more companies. If
any one member's company is priced too high it will not only cause us to lose
a job, we will also lose the client and all future referrals from that client.
|
9. | Consistent
pricing that doesn't change after the job starts |
| | Members
are not allowed to change their pricing once a contract starts unless the client
adds or changes the contract. Changing pricing is dishonest and reflects badly
on our team. The member's pricing for products and services needs to remain consistent
regardless of the financial status of the client. |
10. | Positive
attitude / No Negativity |
| All
members need to maintain a positive attitude when interacting with other members
and clients. Absolutely no negativity is allowed. We do not tolerate slander of
other companies even if the claims are valid. Negativity tends to be contagious
and will make our team look unprofessional, |
11. | Professional
manner |
| All
members are expected to behave in a professional manner. Absolutely no foul language,
discriminatory comments or anything that might be taken as disrespectful by the
client. |
12. | No
commissions, referral fees or sub-contracting other members |
| All
referrals between members must be given free and clear. Marking up another member
will likely result in all members associated losing the job and Contracting Team
losing the client and all future referrals from that client. |
13. | Refer
other companies to join the team |
| |
Our number one way of gaining new business for each other is by expanding the
team. We expect all members to invite specialists with products/services that
do not compete with any active members. |
14. | Project
Management / General Contracting |
| If
a member comes across a project that requires multiple trades the member should
take lead as Project Manager. If the member does not want the responsibility,
the project should be handed to another member of the team. The member's trade
will automatically be part of the project. If the project requires a General Contractor,
the project should be given to Contracting Team's GC, Tony Alexander. |
